I heard the new single, "Let me In" for the first time today. I've enjoyed Hot Hot Heat's since their first album. But what the hell is this horrible shit.

The new single sounded like a reject pop song from the 80's. What happened to the quirky, interesting Hot Hot Heat from the past? Are they just going to churn out this awful, uneventful stuff from now on? I hope the rest of the album isn't this terrible.

What are you talking about? Seriously I think you have the wrong band. None of HHH music is horrible. I think you might have lost your mind. Their amazing. Every album is great. Including this one.

If you hate their song so friggen much then why would you waste your time to make an accounton a bands site just to diss them and say the song sucks?!

Creatively, people change and grow as time goes by, which is what HHH is doing. This new song is great. Maybe you should listen to it a lot more closely.

sounds like someone is a little closed minded. there is nothing wrong with bands being versatile.

They're churning out radio friendly hits to be consumed by the idiot masses. Go listen to Makeup the Breakdown again, or maybe something off of Knock Knock Knock. If you honestly think that this new album comes even close to what they used to make, you were never a real fan of their music.

I believe that if Hot Hot Heat sounded the same during every album, they'd be boring after Make Up. I mean, that's the pitfall bands go into--they just play their first stuff over and over with different notes and words. Crap. If you don't grow and expiriment, then you aren't a real artist. We know the new stuff is different--it provides VARIETY.It think the new song is a lot more mature in the sense that they can make their songs more complex. If you even payed attention, you'd notice they even changed from Knock Knock Knock to Make Up. And if you REALLY want to get technical, their first stuff is from Scenes One Through Thirteen and is TOTALLY different. Perhaps, mon ami, you should go complain somewhere else because you just come off as stupid on this message board. Okay? Becasue this board is pretty much only dedicated fans. So go shove a pinecone up your ass and leave us alone.

shiloh is so right. every single one of their albums have been different in some way or another. and if they did change they're sound slightly from time to time I probably wouldn't like them as much as I do now.

Their new single is loaded with originality and talent. Listen to the lyrics and to all the different parts that go into making up the amazing instrumentation in the song. The sound is mature and rich and fun to hear. After hearing it, it runs through my head for ages and never gets tiring. You can't make the same CD over and over again and stay at the same level of creativity. Their first songs were great but every CD they do shows their growth in musicianship and talent.

I'll place my judgement once I get to hear their next album. With that said, sometimes bands would need to make their songs more commercial friendly to sell CDs.
