Okay guys...we need to figure out something. I'm gonna bitch about the street team right about......NOW! Now, for those of you that are members of the Hot Hot Heat street team, you know it's pretty fucked up. There are rarely missions. And if you sign up for said missions, you are super lucky to actually ever get your materials. Also, there was this period where everybody was attempting to get tons of points on the street team by making stupid pictures and crap where they never really promoted the band just so they could move up in rank while people who promoted would never get points or anything. Hell, silly pictures would get people oodles of points and Le Le Low got me...err...5 points once. Stupid if I must say so. Now, I went to Warped Tour on today. I signed up for the SSMF mission, as I sign up for every mission, and they actually sent me stuff although a bit too late for me to use in LA considering the materials were back home here in Florida. So, I decided to save some stuff to give away on my website at some point in the future but I also brought a lot with me. And I handed it out. Yep. No mission needed for me to work. I was just glad to actually have supplies. But, then...something caught my eye. I saw a tent for The Street Network and I was like what the fuck. I looked over at my friends and told them I was going to give them a piece of my mind. I walked over and started talking to some idiot lady. She sat there and said that bands usually have to be on tour to have missions and blahblahblah. She said it also depends on the band's budget on who they can afford and stuff like that and how TSN is mostly used for Disturbed or, idk, some shitty band on Warner/Sire. It doesn't matter who, I said to her that I've been on the street team for almost three years and nothing ever happens on there and most of the time when there IS a mission, you don't get your materials. She proceeded to say that missions usually aren't when bands aren't on tour. I said, "Really? You don't think Hot Hot Heat was on tour sometime in the past three years?" I was pissed but really nice. So, apparently, some doufus at Sire runs HHH's street team. Well, idk if Hot Hot Heat cannot afford a better guy or whatever...shit, I'd help for free. It's just that NOBODY GETS THE OPPORTUNITY. And, don't you think a band should be promoted ALL time, not just when they are on tour? Haha, Warner is a riot. And if it's someone on here who runs it, I'm sorry but I speak my mind and this is one fucked up street team. I think fans would help more if it was more organized. And hell, I'd make my OWN HHH street team but I don't have that kind of money.

Sorry for the rant and rave. I needed to get it out somewhere, lol!

I just really think that it's not the band or their managment or anybody like that that doesn't want to promote the band. I seriously think Warner doesn't give two craps about them. I think they think that since Hot Hot Heat gets to put a stupid Sire label on their CDS that HHH owes them or something. Idk. Maybe I'm just being dramatic, but I hate it, ya know?

The irony of this post is...is that I'm posting this on a Warner website and I know they will probably never even see it! This board is dead because, seriously, the band isn't taken care of the way I wish they were. And I hope someone in the band doesn't see this and get pissed off at me or something, but whatever. I guess I can think what I want.

And it's not like any body will open this board anyways...

Yeah I pretty much agree. I got supplies for the first time the day after the concert. I in all honesty would sign up for missions with very little hope of actually receiving materials. It was a nice surprise though.

The street team wont respond to emails about missions either. I learned that a while back as well.

It's sad that the board is so dead. The comments on Lelelow serve more as a message board than this.

I personally believe the boards are dead only because there just isn't alot of news right now. I'm pretty sure HHH is writing and recording songs right now, and not really playing any shows right now. I mean, there was activity when they were touring and the 3 or so months after Happiness LTD came out.
I do agree with what you are saying though Shiloh. I applied for supplies once, never got them , and just gave up after hearing what everyone else had to say about the Street Team.
I completely agree, actually.
I don't think HHH has as many fans as a lot of bands like the Killers, or Disturbed as Shiloh mentioned, but HHH definately deserves better promotion and attention. You're not being dramatic Shiloh... probably everyone is feeling the same way.

::.Whats the deal? I don't know! But I'll act as if it is what I think that it is, if it is, then this might just work!.::

Even then though there wasn't a massive amount of activity. It'd still go a few days with no one posting.

I have been on these boards for like, three years, and it's never been active. And I joined as they were touring, soon after Middle of Nowhere was debuted. Idk. I sent a message that will hopefully reach Steve about the street team........although it was just a small paragraph. I did say it sucked, though, lol. (I'm kinda blunt)

Well, if nothing happens...I may just start an e-street team or something on my own. But idk how that would even work and I'd have to wait until I get my job so that I could open it up on a new domain/pay for hosting, etc. We'll see. I'll think of something if I have to.

I mean, I know of plenty of bands that are the same popularity or less that are completely different. I'll just take The Bravery for example. I mean, they have similar-sized fan bases, but some how The Bravery, to me, gets more attention. I don't know if it's because people think they are more talented or if it's something different between the labels, but it kinda is a reminder of how HHH is.

Also, I mean, I know tons of bands like HHH that also have tons of fansites. Yet Hot Hot Heat only has one. I mean, I don't have a problem with that (it means all the traffic goes to my site and my site only) but at the same time, something is wrong with the picture. Go ahead and pick a band. I bet you'll find more than one fansite.

Ohcrap, I had no clue there was a Hot Hot Heat street team D:

But yeah, I understand. Another team I'm active on has similar problems, it's a real drag.

I'm joining as I write this.
